Striped Green Celadon Yunomi

This is a large yunomi (japanese teacup), perfect for big servings of tea! This yunomi was close to the flame of the kiln, and has gained a yellow stripe and blue-green color variation as a result. The flame has also bent it slightly out of round, giving the cup a unique form. This "kiln changed" aesthetic lends the piece character and interest in tea culture, rather than being seen as a defect. 

Celadon is a historical iron-tinted clear glaze. The black specs in the glaze are from its iron colorant, and show the authenticity of the piece. The colors on this cup range from blue green to yellow to a soft spring green.

Measures approximately 9 cm wide by 9.5 cm tall.
